Spotlight on Women Composers

For the first time in its history, the Greeley Chorale will sing an entire program of choral works exclusively by women composers. The concert will feature composers such as Austrian Marianne Martinez, active and widely esteemed during the age of Haydn and Mozart; Emma Lou Diemer, who has composed works for organ, chamber ensembles, piano, solo voice, and choral music for all voicings; Rosephanye Powell, one of America’s premier women composers of solo vocal and choral music; Canadian Sarah Quartel, Great Britain’s Cecilia McDowall, whose music adorned the coronation of King Charles III, plus many others.
