Duruflé's Requiem and a Choral Potpourri
Time & Location
About the Event
First published in 1948, the Requiem by Maurice Durufle has become a favorite of choirs and audiences worldwide. Using themes from Gregorian Chants, Durufle's work differentiates itself from other requiems by only having 9 movements, rather than the more traditional 13+. In addition to this great work, the Chorale will present a program of a variety of short choral pieces, many of which are parts of the repertoire for the Chorale's tour of Spain and Portugal in June, 2022.
