Attention singers: The Greeley Chorale will host their bi-annual auditions on Saturday, August 21 in Frasier Hall at the University of Northern Colorado. Adults with vocal talent and a love for singing are encouraged to contact The Greeley Chorale administrator to schedule your audition to join one of Colorado’s premiere choral organization and northern Colorado’s musical Ambassadors to the world! Men especially are being invited to audition.

You will need a prepared solo number, such as an art song, an opera aria, a music theatre number, a hymn, or the National Anthem. Memorization is not required. An accompanist will be provided at the audition.

Sight singing an unfamiliar hymn will also be part of your audition with the Chorale’s music director, Dr. Galen Darrough. He will provide the sheet music.

The Greeley Chorale rehearsals are weekly on Wednesdays in Room 63, Frasier Hall, UNC, from 7:15-9:30 p.m. The rehearsal year generally runs from the third week in August through April.

PIANIST WANTED

After 28 years of musical service to the Greeley Chorale, accompanist Mary Haight has retired. Her Chorale family wishes her all the best. Even though no one could ever fill Mary’s shoes, Dr. Galen Darrough is in search of a new Greeley Chorale Accompanist to audition and be prepared to start on Sunday, August 15. The Chorale accompanist is responsible for accompanying auditions, rehearsals and concerts; this includes Wednesday night rehearsals and special events as needed. If you have the experience, talent and desire to perform with the gifted Greeley Chorale singers, please schedule your audition today.
